How did Richard Hunt take a flat sheet of metal and turn it into the monumental organic sculpture we see today? Hunt and his team are not only artists but also skilled fabricators who cut the metal into new shapes, bend and tack it into 3D forms, weld the seams together, and then add texture by grinding and polishing – many of the same processes used to build things like cars, bridges, and buildings!
