Krasl Art Center’s mission is to inspire meaningful change and strengthen community through the visual arts. KAC’s artist opportunities are diverse and layered, and support this mission. We celebrate and support artists at all stages of their career, fostering meaningful relationships through the creation, exploration, and patronage of art. We welcome artist applications in the following areas:


Krasl Art Center displays contemporary art indoors and out year-round. We value experimentation, innovation, excellence, timeliness and relevance. In KAC’s galleries, guests discover a safe place to experience new ideas and new media, and engage in challenging and provocative dialogue.

Exhibition proposals are reviewed on an ongoing basis and held for 2 years. Due to the quantity received, we will contact you only in the event of an exhibition opportunity. 


Krasl Art Center seeks to showcase select regional artist projects that have been created as a result of the 2020 executive orders for shelter-in-place. Projects will be displayed in KAC’s artlab gallery as part of an intimate group exhibition. The artlab is a 367 square foot venue dedicated to experimentation, installation and contemporary art. 

Artist projects must be the result of the recent shelter-in-place executive orders. 

Projects may refelct: 

  • Innovations in materials due to limited access to supplies
  • Shifts in content or concepts as a direct result of shelter-in-place
  • An increase in time available to devote to artistic practice, resulting in new work


What is allowed?

  • Original artworks & artist projects
  • Individual and collaborative projects 
  • All media  
  • Suggested limitation of 1-3 artworks per artist/art collaborative


To have your artwork or project considered, please submit the following to

  • Brief description of the artwork(s) or project proposed for display
  • Digital images of the proposed work (informal photographs are ok)
  • Brief artist statement or link to artist website



  • Entry Deadline: July 6, 2020
  • Artists Notified By: July 20, 2020
  • Artwork Delivered Onsite By: August 24, 2020
  • Exhibition Dates: September 4 – November 29, 2020

Artists and curators are encouraged to review the gallery plan to ensure proposals are scaled appropriately. 

Public artists and sculptors are encouraged to review KAC’s Public Art Map to learn more about sites and placements.


The Shop features decorative and functional artwork handcrafted by local and regional artists. This specially curated selection supports KAC’s mission with items relevant to our community, collection, and current exhibitions. We value excellence, innovation, and experimentation in artist-made goods – including fine art, wearables, housewares, jewelry, paper products, and more.
