  Krasl Art Center in downtown St. Joseph, Michigan collects and publicly displays contemporary sculpture. On our campus and throughout the community, indoors and out, you can engage with dynamic artworks by Dale Chihuly, Richard Hunt, George Rickey, and many more artists – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Explore KAC’s public sculpture sites and you will learn about more than art; you will discover the community in which it lives.

  Head to Lake Bluff Park on the second weekend of July for the Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff presented by 1st Source Bank Wealth Advisory Services and Krasl Art Center! 2024 dates are Saturday, July 13 from 10 am – 6 pm, and Sunday, July 14 from 10 am – 5 pm.

  The non-profit Krasl Art Center provides southwest Michigan residents and visitors the opportunity to experience high quality art exhibitions, installations, and events, and to participate in art classes, camps, guest artist workshops, and outreach opportunities. Always changing indoors and out, Krasl is grateful for the support of our generous donors, volunteers and members. The Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff, presented by 1st Source Bank Wealth Advisory Services is a wonderful opportunity for media outlets to capture community engagement! 

Lake Bluff Park will be filled with 172 artists from across the nation, and the St. Joe Today Farmers’ Market will be open all weekend. Free art activities will also be available at Krasl Art Center, providing many opportunities to capture good-news stories from Southwest Michigan.

We want to ensure all press and media professionals have a positive experience. Please email Marketing Manager Kim Woodworth with the following information to ensure we have all the details necessary for you to have a wonderful weekend:

• What day(s) and times you plan to attend
• The name(s)and phone numbers of the reporter(s) attending
• Identify any stories or photo opportunities  you would like to capture during the event
• Any additional needs you have for your crew

After providing these details, media will be provided with additional resources, including peak event times, parking instructions, and how to obtain your media access badge. Media without a badge will not be permitted into the event.

PHOTO POLICY

While photography is permitted, artists have the right to request no photographs be taken of their artwork without expressed consent. Always ask permission from the artist before attempting to photograph near or within a booth.
