ART: A NEW PERSPECTIVE

USE THE RESOURCES BELOW TO LOOK MORE CLOSELY AT RICHARD HUNT’S AND YOU, SEAS.

And You, Seas, is an abstract metal sculpture made of brushed stainless steel. The sculpture is 60 feet tall, about five stories high or just a little taller than the inner light house on the nearby pier. A large, circular base twists upward like a swirling wave and supports a tall center column. More wave-like forms radiate from the top of the column in curved strips like flames from a torch or water from a fountain.

Take a moment to explore all the way around the sculpture. Click and drag to move the screen.

Artists use the elements and principles of art like writers use words, punctuation, and sentences to tell their story. Take another look at And You, Seas, this time searching for the elements and principles listed here.
