Working through an average of 18,000 pounds of clay each year, Mark Chatterley has found himself transformed from a successful utilitarian potter to an internationally recognized ceramic sculptor. Mark’s larger-than-life figures have been featured at SOFA Chicago, the Grand Rapids Art Museum, and the Krasl Art Center among many others.
Experience Chatterley’s creative process, beginning with a guided meditation to find personal images that will then be transformed into personalized clay sculptures. Students will also have a chance to learn about Mark’s work and his influences through brief slideshow presentations.
