Community Art Exhibitions at the Box Factory for the Arts

Each year, Berrien RESA, The Box Factory for the Arts, and the Krasl Art Center work together to present two amazing student art shows, one for elementary students and one for middle school and high school students. These art shows allow local students to exhibit their artwork in a professional venue and have it viewed by hundreds of people in our communities.

A call to artists is sent to area schools for exhibitions which take place in March and April each year.  Exhibitions are presented at the Box Factory for the Arts.

2020 Exhibition – Celebrating Visual Arts in Area Schools

The Elementary Art Exhibition and Middle & High School Art Exhibitions are back! These exhibitions provide important opportunities for school children from Berrien and Cass Counties to exhibit their artwork at The Box Factory for the Arts through Spring of 2020. The community is invited to celebrate the creativity of the region’s young artists by viewing these exhibitions online and in-person, when available. The 2020 Student Art Exhibitions are proudly presented by Krasl Art Center (KAC) in partnership with the Berrien Regional Education Services Agency (RESA) and the Box Factory for the Arts.

Each year, these partners work together to present these two amazing student art shows. These exhibitions allow local students to display their artwork in a professional venue and have it viewed by hundreds of community members and visitors. While social gatherings are paused, enjoy videos of the work from within the Box Factory for the Arts below. For more information on these exhibitions, email emckenna@krasl.org.

Multiple juried awards are presented during these exhibitions, including 1st, 2nd & 3rd place awards in the following categories: 2D, 3D, Video, and Collaborative. The Elementary Exhibition awards 1st and 2nd place only. Sponsor awards include the Sarah E. Cayo Award ($500 cash award), the Emerging Artist Award ($500 cash award), the Jan Stevens Memory Award ($75 awards in 2D, 3D, & Video categories for Elementary), the Papachi Framing Award (free custom framing for 1 elementary, middle, and high school artwork) and Berrien RESA Scholarship Awards ($50 art scholarships for 1 student per school).
