CAN LABEL COMPETITION

A competition to design the can label for a custom vodka-based cocktail that will be sold at the 2026 Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff. The competition is a partnership between Krasl Art Center and Watermark Brewing Company. This is a regional competition with the region defined as Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. It is FREE to enter. 

The competition launches on March 12th. The deadline to submit is April 6th. The winner is announced on Thursday, May 14th. Original artwork can be picked up at Krasl Art Center starting May 1, 2026.  

Guidelines:

  • The name of the cocktail is Krasl Handcrafted. This name needs to be included as part of the design.
  • Design must be an original creation and not AI generated. It must be a flat image. 
  • Dimensions are: 8.15 in x 4.3 in (207.35mm x 109.35mm)
  • One submission per person
  • Submission can be created in the painting, hand drawn, digital, photography or graphic design mediums. 
  • Please provide your work as a PDF or Illustrator (AI file).
  • Provide your submission in the highest resolution possible. 
  • Participants under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian co-sign their entry submission guidelines. 

Krasl Art Center reserves the right to disqualify any entries that fail to comply with the contest rules, are suspected of plagiarism, or are deemed inappropriate or offensive. 

What does the winner of the competition receive? 

  • $200 Cash prize and framed award
  • 2 VIP Packages for the 2026 Art Fair
  • A 6 pack of the canned cocktail (if over 21)
  • The prize will be awarded on May 14, 2026 following an evening event where the winner of the competition will be announced. 

How to submit:

  2. Art work may be submitted the following ways:
    • Email to artfair@krasl.org; Email artfair@krasl.org with your full name, email, phone number, artist statement, submission description, and attached art file.
    • Mail to Krasl Art Center, Attention: Art Fair Call for Art, 707 Lake Blvd., St. Joseph, MI  49085
    • Drop off to the front desk at Krasl Art Center during normal operation hours. Attention: Jamie Balkin
