Recently\, an exhibit featuring Sweet’s work drew a diverse crowd\, sparking conversations about how the past meets the present in Miami’s nightlife—everything from historic ballrooms to modern live casinos not on gamstop that now attract visitors seeking unique\, unrestricted gaming experiences. In his luggage: lots of adventures\, funny pranks and … disaster – his mother’s clothes?! Alfons can’t believe he accidentally mixed up the suitcases\, just when he was planning on showing his new classmate Leonie how cool he is. In a desperate bid to impress her – and to the astonishment of his best friends Benni and Emilia – Alfons comes up with a bright idea: he will run for class president. Unfortunately\, his arch-enemy Nico immediately realizes that Alfons is only doing it to impress Leonie and challenges him to a stupid bet. So\, the fun continues and Alfons’ fate as an eternal jinx takes its usual course! To make matters worse\, his teacher Herr Flickendorf is just waiting for something to go wrong so he can pounce and send Alfons home. Flying macaroni with tomato sauce\, exciting nights around the campfire and a dangerous climbing tour turn the class trip into one that Alfons and his friends will never forget.

Their commitment to art and culture as both a catalyst for change and community unifier has led to multiple arts-based projects in both Benton Harbor and St. Joseph. \n\nABOUT THE MEMBERS’ AWARD \nNew this year\, the Members’ Award is a special juried prize awarded to one outstanding Member Artist selected by our community presenters. The winner will receive resources to benefit their art career up to $500 value. All participating artists who are also Krasl Art Center members at the time of the exhibition are eligible to participate. \n\nABOUT THE ANNUAL MEETING \nKrasl Art Center’s annual meeting is free and open to the public. The garden is dedicated to interactive sculpture and returns as an outdoor summer studio. ‘Art Dome’\, by local artist Thomas Freier\, will be the second sculpture erected in the space. \n*There are no classes from July 4–8.

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy sunshine\, sculpture\, and support small-town artists this summer! The Summer Art Market on the Green features 11 different regional artists in four free\, outdoor community events. It is held in conjunction with the St. Joe Today Lake Bluff Artisan Fair on June 4\, July 16\, August 20\, and September 3 from 10 am – 5 pm. Purchases made support the artists directly\, and guests are encouraged to explore KAC’s gallery exhibitions indoors and public sculpture placed throughout the community during their visit. \nThe Summer Art Market events take place on June 4\, July 16\, August 20\, and September 3 from 10 am – 5 pm on KAC’s outdoor campus. Tents will be displayed across KAC’s Oval Lawn\, Shaded Plaza\, and Patio\, selling handmade artworks ranging from $15 – $250. Guests are encouraged to explore even more artists\, local farmers\, and bakers at St. Joe Farmers Market and Artisan Fair in Lake Bluff Park during the event. \nKAC has indoor and outdoor exhibitions on view during the event.
