DESCRIPTION:FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC \nDiscover the ways in which art develops\, informs and employs resiliency at this dynamic exhibition opening. Meet select artists and experience the wellness benefits of art firsthand.  Featuring small bites by Bistro on the Boulevard\, a cash bar\, and live music. \n5:30 PM – Presentation by Tasha Turner \nTasha N. Turner\, Program Director for Trauma Informed Initiatives at Spectrum Lakeland Health\, will introduce the Community Resiliency Model. Turner will share the mission of this model\, how it is aiding individuals and communIties alike\, and why it is of critical importance to Berrien County.   \n6 – 8 PM – Exhibition Party \nExplore this exciting new exhibition in the KAC galleries and meet some of the artists in the show. Featuring a cash bar\, live music\, and small bites by Bistro on the Boulevard. \n7 PM – Performance by Christina E. Fontenelle \nChristina E. Fontenelle is an Afro-Latina psychotherapist and visual artist who works from an Expressive Arts multi-modal approach specializing in Art & Dance/Movement Therapy. Fontenelle will provide a live\, movement-based performance in response to the theme of resiliency as part of this opening night event \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY\, OCTOBER 5: 11 AM – 12 PM @ KRASL ART CENTER \nTHURSDAY\, OCTOBER 24: 6 – 7 PM @ BENTON HARBOR PUBLIC LIBRARY \nFREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC / SPACE IS LIMITED TO FIRST COME FIRST SERVE \nChristina uses Dance/Movement Therapy as the foundation to navigate a space for people to discuss mental health and self-care. Through facilitation\, attendees will be lead towards creative non-judgmental exploration of what self-care means to them. This workshop includes an ice-breaker\, guided breathing meditation and applicable skills/techniques that can be applied to everyday life.
