The new outdoor studio is part of KAC’s East Garden\, dedicated in memory of Lupe Hopp and underwritten by Horizon Bank. The site is dedicated to interactive sculpture. This year\, KAC combined the creativity and interaction of East Garden artist installations with the pragmatic need for an outdoor summer studio. Prismatic Hope\, by local artist Andy Sawyer\, is the colorful result. Sawyer’s design includes artist work stations for 6 artists and 1 instructor – all colorfully delineated\, spaced and shielded to allow for safe artmaking.

Whether you are an established artist looking for a new skill\, or interested in forming a new hobby\, KAC offers classes for students at multiple skill levels and at varying lengths. \n\nIndoor studio classes will have a 4-student cap\, and new outdoor classes a 6-student cap\, all created with student safety in mind.  \n\nThe new outdoor studio is part of KAC’s East Garden\, dedicated in memory of Lupe Hopp and underwritten by Horizon Bank. Starting with the more traditional works of Corelli and Montiverdi\, all the way through catchy tunes from Gershwin\, there’s a little bit of everything for everyone!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAugust 26\nThe Martin Wind Duo – Kassia and Sam Martin\n\nKassia and Sam Martin’s program explores the connections between music and storytelling. They will play pieces inspired by stories\, from mythology\, opera\, and movies – some of which will include narration along with the music. Pieces include Syrinx by Claude Debussy\, The Pied Piper of Harlem by Adolphus Hailstork\, and Story Hour by Philip Parker.\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented by the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra and Krasl Art Center. The finale to this year’s concerts is funded inpart by the 2021 George Krasl Memorial Concert Fund.
