Art Martin\, Director of Collections and Exhibitions at the Muskegon Museum of Art\, will provide a virtual tour of Richard Hunt’s monumental sculpture Muskegon Together Rising located at the heart of downtown Muskegon. The tour will be in dialogue with Saint Joseph’s own monumental Hunt sculpture\, Rising Crossing Tides. Both directors will also highlight additional works by the artist held in the museums’ collections.

Inspired by Nikki Renee Anderson’s works on view in the KAC Main Galleries\, Anderson uses clay to make sculptures with bright pops of color that contrast the form. This Family Day we will play with sculptural forms and dripping paint onto them\, similar to Anderson’s work. \nKAC is excited to continue offering free & fun art activities for families. All events are online and by registration only. Family Day Art Fundles will be available for pick-up the weekend before the event: Friday\, April 2nd – Monday\, April 5th\, and Friday\, April 9th. Participant Zoom invitations will be emailed the day before the event.
