This Art Fundle focuses on the theme of the MLK Jr. Celebration Week: “Now Is The Time”\, through the lens of King’s “Letter From A Birmingham Jail.” The Art Fundle includes a lesson plan on King’s famous letter\, the political history of printmaking\, and ultimately\, teaches the participant how to make their very own printing plate for printmaking. \nThis activity is to provide students with an art-filled way to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day\, on Monday\, January 18\, or during the MLK Celebration Week. The tour will be in dialogue with Saint Joseph’s own monumental Hunt sculpture\, Rising Crossing Tides.
