DESCRIPTION:Flick or Treat 2026 returns and this is going to be the most spooktacular. (KAC) and the Coastline Children’s Film Festival (CCFF) have combined forces for the sixth annual Flick or Treat. There are three evenings dedicated to Halloween-themed classic films this year. All events are free to the public. \nEnjoy 13 projected silent spooky films with a live piano accompaniment from Dr. Larry Schanker. These not too scary silent shorts have real appeal for viewers of all ages. This indoor event will take place in the KAC library. Program begin at 6:30 pm. We will be serving warm cider and fresh popcorn. \nThe classic silent films are: The Black Imp/Le Diable Noir (1905 France 4 min) The Cobweb Hotel (1936 USA 8 min) Egyptian Melodies A Silly Symphony (1931 USA 6 min); Felix The Cat Switches Witches (1927 USA 7 min); Habeas Corpus with Laurel and Hardy (1928 USA 20 min); The Haunted House with Mickey Mouse (1929. USA. 6.5 min); The Haunted Ship (1930 USA 7.5 min); Hell’s Bells A Silly Symphony (1929 USA 6 min); Les Invisible (1906 France 8 min); A Mad House (1934 USA 5 min); The Merry Skeleton (1989 France 1 min); The Motorist (1906 UK 3 min); Mutt and Jeff The Invisible Revenge (1925 USA 6 min). Whether you’re an experienced artist\, trying something new\, or simply enjoy making things\, we invite you to be part of the exhibition. \nThere are no age\, background\, or skill-level requirements to participate. Submit your work and help us fill the galleries with the creativity and perspectives that make our community unique.\nOn view throughout the winter holidays\, the exhibition is also an invitation to gather and celebrate the work of friends\, family\, neighbors\, and fellow community members. We hope you’ll join us—whether by submitting your own work\, visiting the exhibition\, or both! You must register online before bringing your work to the Krasl Art Center.\n\n\n\nGUIDELINES:\n1 artwork per artist or collaborating artist group.\nArtwork must have been completed within the past year.\n2D Artwork dimensions may not exceed 36” x 36”.\n3D Artwork dimensions may not exceed 36” x 36” x 48”.\nArtworks must be display-ready (no additional hardware required for installation).\nThis is an open exhibition. However\, KAC reserves the right to decline exhibiting artworks based on space constraints or other considerations.\n\n\n\nNOTEWORTHY DETAILS:\nAny Berrien County resident OR current or member of Krasl Art Center can participate.\nExisting KAC Member Artists who also bring a non-member to exhibit can receive a free Fan-level membership renewal for 2025 and a free Fan-level membership for their friend.\nKAC Member Artists are eligible to enter for a special juried award.\nAll artists are eligible for the People’s Choice Award.
