DESCRIPTION:Workshop Date: Saturday\, October 9\, 2021 \n\nKrasl Art Center believes art has the power to connect people with diverse backgrounds and experiences and spark important conversations. KAC education programs connect people by collaborating with local and regional partner organizations\, offering cross-curricular learning opportunities at Visiting Artist Workshops.  \n\nLearn how to make a clamshell artist box and your very own accordion book to go inside with artlab artists Mary Uthuppuru and Andrea Peterson! These dynamic artists will introduce materials and techniques as you experiment with your own approach to storytelling. Combine precut linoleum block prints\, pochoir stencils\, collage and drawing to create rich imagery around the theme of water\, or a subject of your own choosing. \n\nRegistration opens August 9 and closes October 1\, 2021 \n\n– – WS.PR.1A: CREATE YOUR OWN CLAMSHELL BOX | 10 AM – 1 PM \n\n– – WS.PR.1B: CREATE YOUR OWN ACCORDION BOOK |  2–5 PM \n\n– – – FULL DAY TUITION: $110 ($100 for KAC Members) \n– – – PARTIAL DAY TUITION: $75 ($65 for KAC Members)

She currently teaches both the Fiber and Material Studies Hot Projects Glass Production class in her studio for the School of the Art Institute\, Chicago. \nThe evening will include a brief annual meeting of KAC’s membership. SUMMARY:Flick-or-Treat at KAC
DESCRIPTION:FRIDAY\, OCTOBER 29\, 8 PM \nFREE on Facebook Live \nKrasl Art Center and the Coastline Children’s Film Festival (CCFF) have combined forces once again for the return of Flick-or-Treat.\nHead to KAC in St. Joseph on October 29 to decorate your own pumpkin to display at KAC and then enjoy 10 projected silent films with a live piano accompaniment from Dr. Larry Shanker on KAC’s grounds. Pull up a blanket\, enjoy popcorn\, coffee or hot cocoa from Red Arrow Roasters\, and experience 10 classic films projected on Krasl Art Center’s building. A $2 suggested donation supports CCFF and KAC collaborations. \nCALLING ALL PUMPKIN ARTISTS! \nBe a part of the event and showcase YOUR carved or decorated pumpkin to a Community Pumpkin Walk on view all weekend. Simply come by KAC from 7–8 PM and decorate to your heart’s content!
