DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY\, APRIL 10\, 2021\n\n11 AM - 12:30 PM - At your house! \nFREE & OPEN TO ALL AGES \nSpace Limited\, Registration Now open!\n\n \nDraw inspiration from the galleries this Family Day with the new spring exhibition Boom Bloom. Register for Family Day online\, come pick up your Art and see the exhibition while you’re at it\, and then tune in virtually with Miss Dani Saturday\, April 10 at 11 AM on Zoom! Inspired by Nikki Renee Anderson’s works on view in the KAC Main Galleries\, Anderson uses clay to make sculptures with bright pops of color that contrast the form. This Family Day we will play with sculptural forms and dripping paint onto them\, similar to Anderson’s work. \nKAC is excited to continue offering free & fun art activities for families. All events are online and by registration only. Family Day Art Fundles will be available for pick-up the weekend before the event: Friday\, April 2nd – Monday\, April 5th\, and Friday\, April 9th. Participant Zoom invitations will be emailed the day before the event.

DESCRIPTION:VIRTUAL LECTURE\nTHURSDAY\, APRIL 15\, 7 PM\nFREE; Advance Registration required.\n  \nIn celebration of National Garden Month\, and inspired by the artwork of Boom Bloom\, multi-talented gardening expert\, public speaker\, and founder of Botany (botanyorbust.com)\, Benjamin Futa will share a special lecture that ‘digs a little deeper’ into the topic of gardening. Join in this virtual talk to learn practical tools and strategies for integrating ecologically vibrant plants into established landscapes. Together\, we’ll demystify essential landscape design elements for homeowners and explore regenerative plant combinations suited for urban and suburban settings. \nBen Futa has more than ten year’s experience engaging audiences from home gardeners to college students and green industry peers. Futa founded Botany in 2018 as an outlet to explore new ideas and develop creative concepts related to the “culture” in horticulture.
